Job summary

Credit Acceptance Corporation is seeking seasoned software engineers to design and develop scalable Go microservices in a hybrid work environment. You will write tests, review code, and ensure high-quality software while collaborating with product management to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes mentoring teammates, contributing to architectural decisions, and supporting production systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Golang and object-oriented programming.
Experience with SDLC and Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall practices.
Experience with data modeling, design and messaging.
Experience on mission-critical enterprise applications.
Experience designing, building, and scaling high-load microservices and APIs.

Responsibilities

Design and develop software and improve existing code for bug detection and efficiency.
Write unit tests and validate software against acceptance criteria.
Lead code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
Collaborate across teams to understand business impact and requirements.
Participate in agile practices and contribute to sprint commitments.
Mentor less experienced engineers and review designs and documentation.
Respond to production issues and implement effective solutions.
