WunderGraph is seeking a Senior/Staff Golang developer to advance the Cosmo Router, an open-source GraphQL Federation tool written in Go. You’ll work remotely with a global team to improve performance, security and scalability while handling ASTs and complex data sources.

Qualifications

• Senior/Staff level Golang development experience in a leading / ownership role.
• Self-starter with a clear sense of priorities; no hand-holding needed.
• Ability to work independently on hard problems and deliver robust solutions.
• Experience with ASTs, AST transformations, and code analysis.
• Experience writing high-performance, low-GC Go code and benchmarking.
• Excellent English communication for a fully remote team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work within CET time zone.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refactor and maintain WunderGraph Cosmo Router open-source codebase in Golang (low GC code).
• Collaborate with engineering teammates on Router capabilities (Open Federation, new data sources).
• Focus on performance, security and stability of the Router.
• Review Router telemetry to identify areas for improvement.
• Run internal penetration tests of the Router.
• Troubleshoot Router issues, potentially with customers’ engineers.
• Analyze and accept open-source contributions on GitHub.
