Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a software professional to design, implement, and maintain data processing tools for GNSS signal collection and analysis in the Space and Geophysics Laboratory. You will work with Python, C/C++, and scripting to meet project objectives and analyze GPS/GNSS data using established tools and libraries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Three years of related experience in Python or C/C++.
Three years of related data analysis experience.
Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor and communicate with all groups of clients.

Responsibilities

Independently develop new data processing and analysis software using Python, C/C++, or scripting to satisfy project objectives.
Perform analysis of observation and navigation data using established software tools, repositories and libraries in accordance with established internal practices.
Contribute to analyses and characterizations of GPS/GNSS and identify improvements and new methods for GPS/GNSS data collection and analysis.
Evaluate and develop new metrics and processing techniques with modernized GPS/GNSS signals.
