Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a GNSS Data Scientist Associate to design, develop, and maintain software for collection, processing, and analysis of satellite navigation signals within the Space and Geophysics Laboratory.

You will work on GNSS data, develop analysis software in Python/C++, and contribute to testing and optimization of GPS/GNSS receivers, under the requirements of government-security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Python or C/C++ coursework or experience.
• Data analysis coursework or experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop new data processing and analysis software using Python, C/C++, or scripting to meet project objectives.
• Perform analysis of observation and navigation data using established software tools and libraries.
• Contribute to analyses and characterizations of GPS/GNSS.
• Identify improvements and new methods for GPS/GNSS data collection and analysis; evaluate and develop new metrics, algorithms, and processing techniques.
• Document progress and completion of work.
• Other related functions as assigned.
