Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc is seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer (Contract) to develop satellite GNC solutions.

The role covers design, analysis, and verification across the full development lifecycle, with opportunities to work on diverse spacecraft programs. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of GN&C experience (with Bachelor's) or 6+ years with a Master's, proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, STK, and C/C++, and willingness to travel up to 20% for collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 8+ years with Bachelor's or 6+ years with Master's in GN&C for spacecraft.
• 5+ years' experience specifically in GN&C on spacecraft.

Responsibilities

• GNC design for new spacecraft and mission payloads across Airbus platforms.
• Develop and analyze GNC systems including sensors, actuators, algorithms and flight software.
• Support requirements flow-down and Design for Cost/Manufacturability/Test.
• Foster reuse of heritage designs and lead multiple design activities.
• Contribute to system engineering across lifecycle from requirements to integration.
• Perform simulations and contribute to roadmap and future missions.
