Job summary

CHAOS Industries seeks a Senior Guidance Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Los Angeles. You will lead the design of guidance software for a new airframe, integrating with COTS frameworks and flight hardware.

The role requires 10+ years of object-oriented software experience, a BS or higher in CS/CE/AE, and expertise with ArduPilot and embedded Linux on Jetson/SoC platforms. On-site work in Hawthorne, CA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in professional, object-oriented software development.
• Experience with design and implementation of guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using ArduPilot.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of guidance and navigation software within COTS software frameworks.
• Support system integration of software on flight hardware.
• Work on-site in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California.
• Lead design efforts for guidance software on a clean sheet airframe design.
• Collaborate within the R&D team and across product families.
