Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles (Hawthorne) is seeking a Senior Autonomy & Guidance Software Engineer to lead the design of guidance software on a clean-sheet airframe. You will work with the R&D team to extend product families and deliver high-assurance software for defense applications.

The role requires 10+ years in object-oriented software development, strong C/C++, embedded systems experience, and familiarity with ArduPilot-based guidance on Linux, plus hands-on work with STM32 and Nvidia

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional, object-oriented software development.
• Experience with guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using ArduPilot or similar.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of guidance and navigation software within COTS frameworks.
• Support system integration of software on flight hardware.
• Work on-site in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), CA.
