Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Leader to support the Sentinel Program Office at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. You will advise government teams on Guidance, Navigation and Control, define requirements, review designs, and assess technical issues to ensure mission success.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, 12+ years of relevant experience, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
12+ years of industry or USAF experience.
Experience and expertise in embedded software or firmware development.
Willingness to travel domestically approximately 25%.
Current and active Secret security clearance and/or SCI access and willingness to maintain it.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support to the Sentinel Program Office in flight systems, Guidance, Navigation and Control.
Evaluate design documentation and algorithms for correctness and viability of mission-critical weapon systems.
Engage with contractors and lead technical reviews.
Support qualification and acceptance testing at unit/subsystem levels.
Coordinate with ETG and other Aerospace locations as required.
Present technical and project status briefs to management and customers.
