Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Senior Staff Engineer in Guidance, Navigation & Control for the Sentinel program in Manhattan Beach, CA. Lead GNC issues, coordinate with IPTs, and drive resolution from detection to flight test acceleration.

The role requires 14+ years in GNC or related control systems, hardware/software flight-systems experience, MRB/FRB process knowledge, and strong communication. US citizenship and Top Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 14 years of related experience in Guidance, Navigation & Controls or comparable control systems engineering.
• Strong background in hardware and/or software flight systems design, manufacturing, and test.
• Experience leading detailed issue resolution plans from detection through closure.
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient in MS Office and issue-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Own GNC issues from identification through resolution and flight test acceleration.
• Lead root cause investigations and develop detailed resolution plans.
• Co-chair design reviews and coordinate MRB/FRB actions with USG and IPTs.
• Deliver technical recommendations shaping schedule, cost, and performance outcomes.
• Coordinate test plan development, data collection, and analysis to validate GNC performance.
