Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Colorado seeks a Senior GN&C Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of advanced GN&C systems for aerospace platforms. You will mentor multi-disciplinary teams and drive innovation across flight controls and HIL testing.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s in aerospace/electrical/mechanical engineering, 10+ years in GN&C with MATLAB/Simulink, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• Typically 10+ years of GN&C, flight controls, simulation, or aerospace engineering experience (advanced degrees may substitute).
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for model development and simulation analysis.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for GN&C design, development, and integration.
• Develop Simulink models for flight controls, vehicle dynamics, and simulations.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams through aircraft development lifecycle.
• Architect inner- and outer-loop control laws for crewed and uncrewed aircraft.
• Oversee end-to-end simulation campaigns and HIL test activities.
• Serve as SME in design reviews and program milestones.
• Develop GN&C best practices and engineering processes.
• Document simulation results and trade studies.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements.
