Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories in Irvine, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to lead maintenance and repair of production equipment across high-speed packaging lines and specialized mixers. You will operate within a cGMP-regulated environment, adhere to SOPs, and document activities in the CMMS.

You will supervise peers, coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Facilities, manage spare parts, and support capital projects while staying on-call for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical 2- or 4-year degree is preferred.
• 6+ years working in equipment maintenance; an Associate degree with 5+ years experience is preferred.
• 4+ years working in a GMP environment, with facilities/plant maintenance experience preferred.
• Understanding of pneumatics, boilers, validated systems and standby electrical generation is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety; knowledge of mechanical systems and automated lines is preferred.
• Knowledge of general shop tools; experience with RODI water generation and aseptic processing is preferred.
• Experience with CMMS and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled PM tasks and completes required documentation; manages open work orders in the CMMS.
• Maintains cGMP-compliant documentation under the Quality Management System.
• Assists in Capital Improvement Projects coordinating contractors and prep areas.
• Leads by example and fosters teamwork within the maintenance team.
• Manages spare parts inventory and coordinates with Engineering on lifecycle and obsolescence.
