Job summary

Red Oak Technologies in Irvine, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician IV to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve advanced production equipment in a GMP-regulated medical device manufacturing facility.

The role requires 6+ years in industrial equipment maintenance, strong mechanical troubleshooting, experience with CMMS, and ability to lead and mentor other technicians; exposure to high-speed packaging, filling lines, and validated systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industrial equipment maintenance experience OR Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment including high-speed packaging systems, filling lines, processing mixers, pumps, conveyors, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities and accurately complete all required documentation.
• Manage open work orders within the CMMS system to ensure maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
• Support cGMP documentation requirements and maintain compliance with established Quality Management Systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and partner with Engineering to support equipment lifecycle planning.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Facilities teams to address equipment priorities.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to other Maintenance Technicians.
• Participate in on-call support for off-shift equipment emergencies.
