Job summary

Banner Defense in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Performance Analysis Engineer to support analysis and assessment of Ground-based Midcourse Defense systems for MDA. You will develop tools in MATLAB and Python to evaluate interceptor performance across threat scenarios.

You will communicate findings to engineering teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders, helping ensure interceptors are ready when it matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience supporting MDA GMD programs.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C++.
• Experience analyzing missile defense engagement performance and system capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present to government stakeholders.
• Active SECRET or higher security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MATLAB, Python, and C++ analysis tools for GBI/NGI performance assessment.
• Create M&S environments to evaluate interceptor performance across scenarios.
• Perform quick-response analysis for IDT data and time-sensitive analyses.
• Evaluate system capabilities and identify performance trends to support decisions.
• Develop and enhance future interceptor analysis capabilities and tools.
• Interpret simulation results and provide actionable conclusions.
• Deliver technical briefings to engineers, leadership, and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address analysis needs.
