Job summary

Playfly Sports is seeking a General Manager for Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. The role requires leading enterprise sponsorship sales, partnering with the athletics department, and driving revenue growth for the university property.

On-site position with the athletics director and Playfly leadership. Candidates should bring a strong sales background, team leadership, and proven ability to meet or exceed budgets and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (as stated).
• 6-8 years of direct sales experience in sports multi-media environment.
• 10-12 years of sales experience preferred.
• Experience managing a team of direct reports.
• Proven ability to manage, meet & exceed budget & revenue goals.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM system.
• Strong experience in integrated and conceptual sales.
• Ability to present ideas succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects/clients.
• Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be driven and coachable to execute revenue model.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales plan to meet and exceed revenue goals for Playfly.
• Manage profit and loss & budget reports to exceed EBITDA.
• Prospect, meet and close high level sponsorships.
• Lead and develop the Wake Forest sports property staff.
• Create sales inventory, revenue projections and sponsorship strategy.
• Develop sales presentations and draft/negotiate contracts.
• Present end-of-year recaps for sponsors.
• Represent the university sports property, the university, and Playfly Sports Properties professionally.
