Job summary

Phoenix Contact USA is seeking a Supervisor, International Trade Compliance and Transportation to lead the team responsible for import, export, and transportation. This role ensures compliant, efficient, and reliable operations while guiding decisions with in-depth knowledge of trade laws and Incoterms.

The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, a relevant advanced degree, and strong familiarity with ERP systems, HTS/ECCN classification, and global trade requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 15+ years’ relevant experience preferred, including leadership experience.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certification in international trade, customs compliance, or supply chain management preferred.
• Experience with global trade management, transportation management, or ERP systems preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of international trade regulations and customs compliance, including C-TPAT, ECCN, HTS, and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops a team of international trade compliance and transportation professionals.
• Leads trade compliance operations, including classification and import/export processes.
• Maintains knowledge of tariff laws and provides guidance for compliant decisions.
• Works with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure full compliance.
