Terumo Medical Corporation in Puerto Rico (Caguas) seeks a Sr. Global Trade & Operations Compliance Specialist to own end-to-end import/export trade compliance and drive global operations processes for the Puerto Rico market.

The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. You will partner with freight forwarders, brokers, QA, regulatory, finance, and commercial stakeholders to align with Global Trade Controls

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of import/export regulations and trade controls.
Experience with U.S. Customs, FDA import requirements, and export controls.
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices, pharma, biotech).
Understanding of manufacturing and warehouse logistics to support compliant goods movement.

Responsabilités

Own end-to-end trade compliance processes under Global Trade Controls Standards.
Lead import/export shipment compliance with freight forwarders and brokers.
Review and maintain import/export docs, broker instructions, and records.
Analyze trade data from SAP/ERP and other systems to monitor risks.
Investigate and resolve complex trade compliance exceptions and escalations.
Develop local procedures, KPIs, and training aligned to global standards.
Support audits and continuous improvement for regulated supply chain ops.
