Job summary

Buckingham Search is partnering with a growing technology company to recruit a Senior Tax & Treasury Accountant in Chicago. You will own the company’s tax function across domestic and international entities and support treasury operations, including cash management and banking activities.

Collaborating with external advisors, auditors, and FP&A, you’ll ensure tax compliance, strengthen cash processes, and contribute to growth in a global, private-equity-backed tech environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years progressive tax experience in a multinational setting.
• Working knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate income tax.
• Experience with indirect taxes (sales/use, VAT/GST) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support income tax provisions under ASC 740 and related disclosures.
• Manage US federal/state and international corporate tax compliance with advisors.
• Oversee indirect tax compliance including sales/use tax, VAT/GST, and nexus work.
• Support transfer pricing, intercompany charges, and related accounting.
• Coordinate tax notices, audits, and inquiries with external partners.
• Monitor treasury activities: global cash positions, intercompany transfers, and payments.
