Job summary

NetApp, Inc. is seeking a Global Service Logistics Planner to optimize global spare parts inventory for the storage product business.

You will forecast demand from shipment and consumption data, manage lifecycle portfolios, and ensure part availability across worldwide depots to balance service levels with cost efficiency. You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, and Global Logistics, using SAP/Oracle ERP and Baxter Planning to drive data-driven decisions and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related quantitative field.
8+ years of direct experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or aftermarket service logistics.
Proficiency with SAP and Oracle Fusion ERP platforms.
Experience using Baxter Planning or equivalent advanced SCP software.
Strong data manipulation and visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of service parts logistics, reverse logistics, and inventory modeling (Safety Stock, EOQ, reorder points).

Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting & Trend Analysis: evaluate historical shipment and part-usage data to forecast demand and guide inventory positioning.
Inventory Optimization: develop strategies to maintain optimal spare parts inventory levels within budget, depot capacity, and SLAs.
Lifecycle Portfolio Ownership: manage end-to-end planning lifecycle of a parts portfolio, align stocking with NPI and EOL.
Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, and Global Logistics.
Continuous Improvement: drive efficiency, forecast accuracy, and depot performance using best practices and analytics.
Systems & Visibility Leverage: use enterprise planning systems to improve end-to-end visibility and data-driven decisions across service supply chain.
