Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a North America Parts Planning Leader to define scope, build SOPs, and own spare parts inventory management for NA. The role requires collaboration with Master Scheduling, Procurement, and Field Service to align parts supply with service and warranty demand.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in inventory planning, strong SAP and Excel skills, and a proven ability to document processes and drive cross-functional improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in raw material, spare/service parts, or inventory planning in a manufacturing or field-service environment.
• Ability to build processes and documentation from scratch.
• Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP/MRP.
• SAP IBP/GUI is a strong plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• VBA is a plus.
• Strong process-documentation and technical-writing skills.
• General project management ability.
• Ability to influence across all levels and global regions.
• Self-starter, organized, continuous-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and document scope, workflows, and SOPs for NA planning.
• Own NA spare parts inventory planning and replenishment cadence.
• Build Excel/SAP tracking tools and dashboards for availability and stockout risk.
• Partner with Master Scheduling, Procurement, and Field Service to align parts supply with service and warranty demand.
• Identify and resolve gaps between SAP data and physical inventory.
• Set target inventory and reorder policies for critical parts with Purchasing and Manufacturing.
• Coordinate with regional counterparts on global parts strategy and escalate cross-regional constraints.
• Report parts health metrics, risks, and process maturity to leadership.
• Take on Operations Transformation and other cross-department projects as assigned.
• Scope project objectives, activities, dependencies, budget, and risk; track status and elevate issues.
• Assist other Project Managers with deliverables as needed.
