Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to manage domestic and international shipments for Electron rocket components. You will coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous process improvements in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will work with suppliers and internal teams, track KPIs, and help safeguard shipments across air, sea and ground.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2+ years of experience.
• Exposure to international shipping regulations.
• High degree of knowledge of freight forwarding and customs regulations.
• IATA/IMDG knowledge.
• Strong IT knowledge, comfortable working with Windows.
• Experience working with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system.
• Basic understanding of necessary documentation for international shipping.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Schedule transportation and resolve shipping or delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize logistics operations.
• Train, and support logistics staff to meet performance goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance.
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Track and analyze logistics KPIs and prepare performance reports.
• Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans for disruptions.
