Medtronic plc seeks a Global IT Cyber Security Legal Counsel to partner with Global IT and business leaders on information security, privacy, and regulatory risk across a global healthcare technology organization.

The role provides strategic legal oversight, negotiates cybersecurity provisions, and supports secure-by-design initiatives with product security, privacy, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a nationally recognized US law school; active Bar in at least one state.
• 8+ years of legal experience in cybersecurity, IT, and privacy.
• Experience advising cross-functional business and technology teams.
• Knowledge of global cybersecurity regulatory frameworks and investigations.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise Global IT Information Security on governance, regulatory compliance, and risk.
• Develop and refine cybersecurity legal frameworks, policies, and controls for global operations.
• Counsel leaders on cybersecurity considerations for strategic initiatives and technology transformation.
• Support incident preparedness, regulatory inquiries, audits, and enforcement actions.
• Lead cybersecurity due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other business activities.
• Advise on third-party cybersecurity risk and contract risk mitigation.
