Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. seeks an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect to define infrastructure standards and architecture guidance across global enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing infrastructure architectures for global enterprises.
• Hands-on experience with RedHat OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes (K8s) at enterprise scale.
• Experience with RunAI, Proxmox, or equivalent workload hosting frameworks.
• Strong HW/OS systems background across storage, servers, and Linux/Windows TCP/IP stacks.
• Working knowledge of L2/L3 networking, virtualization, and general IT systems.
• Automation experience leveraging Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Perl with demonstrated delivery.
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment with automated pipelines integrating security controls.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP, with depth in at least one provider.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to cross-functional teams and director-level leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define infrastructure standards, reusable reference architecture patterns, and Enterprise Architecture Guidance.
• Design resilient infrastructure solutions with focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Oversee upkeep and consistency of standards as expressed in Global Design Specifications.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain feedback on requirements and delivery timelines.
• Identify gaps in guiding principles and policies; evaluate alternative solutions.
• Create diagrams and documentation of IT systems, including network topology and security measures.
• Provide governance recommendations for existing cloud services and methodologies.
• Ensure logging and monitoring comply with regulations and best practices.
• Maintain ongoing education and certification in relevant areas.
