Job summary

iDC Logistics Inc. in California is seeking a Sr Operations Manager (Freight Forwarding) to lead Ocean/Air import-export, ensure compliance, and drive efficient operation.

You will supervise a team, coordinate with carriers, brokers, and customers, and push cost savings and service improvements while maintaining KPI targets.

A 4-year degree and at least 5 years in freight/logistics are required; fluency in English; proficiency in CargoWise preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related field.
• Familiarity with Ocean & Air import/export procedures and regulations.
• Proficiency in CargoWise system.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics shipment import/export, air/ocean, warehouse, customs brokerage, and trucking.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and service providers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of cargo
• Manage relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure the highest level of service and customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs & FMC regulations and trade laws
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality
• Manage Special Projects as assigned
