Job summary

MRI Software is seeking a Senior Counsel, Employment & Litigation to join the Global Legal team in Cleveland, OH. You will be the primary adviser on employment law and litigation matters across the globe, partnering with HR, business leaders, and the broader Legal team.

Reporting to the Vice President, Legal – North America, you will provide strategic guidance, oversee litigation management, and help identify and mitigate legal risk in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar in good standing.
• 7+ years in employment law and litigation, preferably with in-house experience.
• Experience advising on employee relations, investigations, policies and procedures, leaves, accommodations, and covenants.
• Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day employment counsel to HR and business leaders on employment-related matters.
• Advise on employee relations issues, performance management, disciplinary actions, accommodations, investigations, leaves, and terminations.
• Develop, interpret, and implement employment policies and best practices.
• Oversee litigation portfolio, engage and direct outside counsel, and manage budgets.
• Lead internal investigations and advise on regulatory developments affecting employment law.
