Job summary

MRI Software seeks an experienced Senior Counsel, Employment & Litigation to join its Global Legal team. You will serve as the primary advisor on employment law and litigation matters globally, partnering with HR, business leaders, and the broader Legal team.

Reporting to the VP, Legal – North America, you will guide employment matters, oversee litigation, develop policies, conduct investigations, and counsel leadership on risk and compliance in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 7+ years of employment law and litigation experience, preferably including substantial in‑house experience.
• Experience advising on employee relations matters, workplace investigations, employment policies and procedures, accommodations and leave issues, and severance matters.
• Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and provide practical business‑focused legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel to HR and business leaders on employment matters.
• Advise on employee relations issues, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Support development and interpretation of employment policies and procedures.
• Advise on restrictive covenants and severance matters; manage contractor issues.
• Lead litigation strategy and coordinate outside counsel across jurisdictions.
• Oversee investigations and risk management related to employment matters.
