The ideal candidate holds a JD, is admitted to the US bar, and has extensive privacy experience. You will partner with global teams to implement privacy policies, conduct impact assessments, and guide product initiatives while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active US bar license.
• Extensive privacy‑related legal experience.
• Deep knowledge of US privacy laws and consumer protection frameworks.
• Experience advising multinational businesses on data collection, cross‑border transfers, and vendor data sharing.
• Strong ability to translate complex legal concepts for business teams.”

Responsibilities

• Monitor and advise on global privacy laws and enforcement trends relevant to TikTok's e‑commerce operations.
• Review new products to ensure privacy compliance and policy alignment.
• Advise on data collection, sharing, retention, and cross‑border transfers for creator, merchant, buyer, and payments data.
• Assess third‑party and intra‑group data sharing and vendor contracts.
• Support privacy impact assessments and control implementation for new products and processes.
• Drive global privacy strategy and coordinate multi‑jurisdictional implementation.
• Develop internal and external privacy policies, notices, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to implement privacy controls across markets.
