TikTok is seeking a Tech Lead for Global E-commerce Governance in San Jose. You will own the design and execution of scalable governance and IP protection systems, collaborating with legal, policy, and product teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions for a global marketplace.

The role emphasizes leadership across reviews, architecture decisions, and cross-team coordination, with focus on ML/LLM-enabled review workflows and takedown processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years building highly scalable backend services and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership on complex projects end-to-end.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own solution design and architecture for product governance and IPR services and write high-quality code for critical paths.
• Design and evolve IP protection systems end-to-end with SLA guarantees and infringement detection.
• Provide technical leadership: drive design reviews, set engineering standards, mentor engineers.
• Shape the team's technical roadmap for scalability, reliability, and governance outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, policy, operations, legal, and algorithm teams to implement policies.
• Promote adoption of LLM and agent-based capabilities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
