Job summary

TikTok is hiring a skilled attorney to support TikTok Shop and its rapidly growing e-Commerce business teams in the US. You will advise on consumer protection, advertising, IP, and regulatory compliance, while drafting and negotiating commercial agreements across digital platforms.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage tight timelines, and help shape policies and disclosures for users and partners.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school with active bar status.
• 4+ years of practice including in-house experience.
• Experience advising on e-Commerce, advertising, and IP law.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the business in understanding and complying with legal and regulatory requirements when launching new products, features, and initiatives in the US.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of e-Commerce matters with a focus on consumer protection, B2B and B2C engagement, advertising, influencer marketing, and intellectual property.
• Partner closely with stakeholders in legal, privacy, and public policy, to deliver projects against short timeframes, setting appropriate priorities and managing legal risk.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of TikTok e-Commerce initiatives through review of the consumer disclosures, policies, and terms and conditions applicable to our users/customers/partners and support for feature development.
• Review, draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements relevant to digital and e-Commerce platforms.
• Contribute to template development, process improvement and internal training, identifying and resolving opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce contractual friction.
• Perform other duties requiring legal research and analysis and/or negotiations as may be requested.
