Job summary

Colliers International in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to lead cost planning for large industrial and office projects. You will support project managers and our real estate teams with budgets, risk analysis, and value engineering.

The role requires 10+ years in cost estimating, a bachelor’s in construction management or engineering, and familiarity with BIM, CostX, and RIB iTwo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of cost estimating and management experience.
• Experience with industrial and office construction cost benchmarks.
• International experience on industrial projects.
• Familiarity with cost databases and BIM design methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with cost estimation at all lifecycle stages.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for effective cost management procedures.
• Define budgets in collaboration with PMs, considering procurement strategy, contract type, building codes, and market conditions.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed levels.
• Evaluate cost control measures, review forecasts and cost reports to safeguard budget and cash-out plan adherence.
• Leverage cost- and time-efficient construction methods to help deliver on time and within budget.
• Support PM in value engineering, price and claim negotiations with the General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager for overall project success and client growth targets.
