Job summary

Colliers International is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our Global Occupier Services team. You will be the subject-matter expert supporting project managers and the real estate team on cost estimation and budgeting for large industrial and office projects worldwide.

The role requires 10+ years in cost estimating, a bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related discipline, and proven knowledge of contract types, BIM and CostX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in cost estimating and cost management (pre/post-contract).
• Experience with industrial construction cost benchmarks.
• Ability to review cost plans for accuracy before approval.
• International experience on industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with BIM and cost databases.
• Knowledge of contract types (Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, etc).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost management processes.
• Define budgets for construction projects per requirements and procurement strategy.
• Identify cost risks and mitigation measures with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed life-cycle stages.
• Evaluate cost control measures and review forecasts to safeguard budget.
• Support value engineering and negotiations with the General Contractor.
• Collaborate closely with Project Manager for project success.
