Job summary

IMA Financial Group in Dallas is seeking an experienced insurance submissions professional. The role entails preparing and marketing global new business and renewal submissions, gathering information, and delivering submissions to underwriters while coordinating intake from multiple market offices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in similar roles, professional designations such as CISR/CIC, and strong MS Office skills. Occasional travel (<25%) is expected as part of client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related insurance experience.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • CISR and/or CIC professional designation.
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Travel less than 25% is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and insurance interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and market global new business and renewal submissions, gathering information and delivering submissions to underwriters.
  • Intake service requests from all IMA market offices and route accordingly.
  • Request loss runs from carriers and international broker partners.
  • Verify and reconcile premium and commissions; prepare statements.
  • Enter accounts accurately in internal and partner data systems.
  • Act as liaison between IMA service teams and international broker partners for reverse flow accounts.
  • Create commission allocations for foreign revenues.
  • Create account workbooks, spreadsheets, and summaries for all submitted, sold and bound coverages.
  • Interact professionally with clients and external partners via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Respond promptly to Producers, Practice Leads, Account Executives, and other associates.
  • Support the department by assisting with all duties required to complete a project and service an account.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values.

  • Under moderate guidance, prepare and market global new business & renewal submissions, including gathering information and the marketing and/or delivery of submissions to underwriters.
  • Under minimal guidance, intake service requests from all IMA market offices and process or assign accordingly.
  • Request loss runs from carriers and international broker partners.
  • Verify and reconcile accuracy of premium and commissions and prepare commissions statements for internal and external use as required.
  • Under minimal guidance, responsible for policy and information entry of accounts for all internal and partner data systems.
  • Act as liaison between IMA service teams and international broker partners for reverse flow accounts.
  • Responsible for creation of commission allocations for foreign revenues.
  • Responsible for creation of account workbooks, comparison spreadsheets, and summaries for all submitted, sold and bound coverages.
  • Interact professionally and timely with clients and external partners via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Responds in a timely, accurate and friendly manner to Producers, Practice Leads, Account Executives, Account Managers, and other internal associates.
  • Support the department team by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • At least 5 years of similar or related experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Attains and/or maintains professional designation or license: CISR and/or CIC
  • Experience with MS Office products required (specifically Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Limited travel required (less than 25%)
  • Required: strong written and oral communication skills
  • Required: strong analytical and insurance interpretation skills
