Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented insurance professional in Salt Lake City to support daily account servicing and client advisement, including inquiries, carrier downloads, and policy updates.

The role emphasizes renewal support, quotes analysis, and relationship management with clients and insurance carriers. A P&C license is required or must be obtained within 6–12 months, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years or more of similar or related experience.
  • Property and Casualty license required for state of business and must fulfill continuing education to retain license or obtain within 6–12 months.
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily account servicing and client advisement for inquiries, carrier downloads, and policy updates.
  • Cultivate strong client and carrier relationships and respond professionally via email, phone, and in person.
  • Assist with renewal processes including pre-renewal summaries, quotes, terms, premiums, and invoicing.
  • Participate in client meetings to ensure assets are adequately protected and service standards are met.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable per IMA policy.
  • Attend education sessions to expand technical knowledge.

Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

  • Responsibility for daily account servicing and client advisement needs including but not limited to handling client and insurance company inquiries, processing daily carrier downloads, obtaining daily notifications and alerts from carrier websites, maintaining accurate account information in agency management system, claims advising, endorsements, evidence of insurance, auto ID cards, etc.
  • Cultivates and maintains excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers
  • Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person
  • Assist with renewal process on assigned book of business including preparation of pre-renewal summary, online quoting via carrier rating platforms and comparative rater, reviewing quotes and negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals for delivery to client, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices, etc.
  • Participates in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to ensure assets are adequately protected
  • Responsibility for following up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy
  • Attends education classes in combination with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSinclude but are not limited to:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Math skills required, involving familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products
  • 1-2 years or more of similar or related experience
  • Property and Casualty license will be required for state of business and must fulfill continuing education requirement to retain license. If not current – then must obtain within 6-12 months.
