Job summary

SPS Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a Superintendent to lead glazing and paneling field operations, overseeing schedules, safety, quality, and coordination between field crews, project managers, and general contractors. You will drive on-time, on-budget project delivery with a focus on safety and job-site discipline.

In this role you will mentor staff, review construction documents, and ensure equipment and material readiness to meet project specs. Regular travel to job sites is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience with supervisory roles in glazing or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial glass and panel installation practices.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and job costing.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site operations including glass installation and hardware installation to ensure quality and safety.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and manage crews to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Communicate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and general contractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress and ensure alignment with documents, specs and industry standards.
• Lead daily job site meetings and safety discussions to improve planning and efficiency.
• Enforce OSHA safety guidelines and company policies across the team.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate site documentation including reports, time sheets, receipts and logs.
• Oversee field inventory and equipment maintenance and replacement as needed.
• Mentor field staff and support professional growth and performance.
• Coordinate with office/logistics for material delivery and site setup.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are properly maintained and compliant.
