Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Senior Accountant to own general ledger accounting, perform AP reconciliations, and manage accruals. You will work with AP, Procurement, FP&A, and auditors to ensure accurate, timely close and robust controls. A data-driven, AI-first mindset with automation experience is highly valued.

You will contribute to improving processes, reducing variances, and delivering audit-ready documentation across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes. Hybrid work in Austin, TX is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Experience reconciling AP subledgers to the general ledger and analyzing data to resolve issues.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with ERP/financial systems such as Epicor, Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly reconciliations for AP-related balance sheet accounts and subledgers; investigate variances and resolve items.
• Research and clear aged items including unmatched invoices, duplicate payments, credits, and receipt-accrual differences.
• Prepare, record, and review AP-related, expense, and other period-end accruals; perform journal entries.
• Perform account analyses and flux reviews; explain significant movements clearly.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end close with audit-ready documentation and SOX controls.
• Identify root causes of recurring reconciling items and implement improvements using automation.
• Collaborate with AP, Procurement, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, auditors on issues and special projects.
