Job summary

Jobot is seeking a GL Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team in Baltimore, MD. This role focuses on general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close, with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and intercompany reconciliation.

You will partner with other departments, conduct balance sheet reviews, prepare financial statements, and support audits. A Bachelor's in accounting, at least five years' GL experience, and strong Excel skills are required; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of general ledger accounting and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
