Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Senior GIT 2 (Hydrogeologist) based in Homestead, PA. You will oversee site investigations, environmental due diligence, sampling and monitoring, site remediation, and regulatory reporting under supervision of a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist.

Expect hands-on field work with 75% travel within the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic regions, and preparation of Remedial Action Plans and technical reports. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM standards and state regulations.
• Soil, groundwater, surface water investigations and sampling.
• Interpretation of groundwater data and aquifer tests.
• Soil vapor and indoor air investigations including modeling.
• Remedial Action Plans and progress/completion reports.
• Multi-media Sampling Plans and Health & Safety Plans development.
• Field investigations with travel as required.
• Client communications and proposal specifications.

Responsibilities

• Field tasks include collecting environmental samples and logging boring logs.
• Prepare data visualizations and concise reports for interpretation.
• Collaborate with senior geologists and clients on project tasks.
