Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Geological Specialist 1 (Hydrogeologist) to manage underground storage tank compliance, site investigations, and remediation tasks from our Homestead, PA office.

You will work under a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist on environmental due diligence, monitoring, and regulatory reporting. You will perform field sampling, data interpretation, and multi-media reporting, with extensive travel in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology or related earth science field.
• 5+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Experience with storage tank regulations Pa Code Chapter 245 and Chapter 250.
• Geologist-in-Training status or ability to obtain within one year.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee storage tank compliance operations and remediation projects.
• Perform Phase I/II ESAs and site investigations.
• Coordinate environmental sampling and monitoring.
• Prepare Remedial Action Plans and Reports.
• Travel 75% within the Mid-Atlantic region.
