Job summary

City of Tacoma is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with advanced GIS expertise to support the Engineering Projects and Services (EPS) group within Tacoma Power’s Transmission & Distribution (T&D) section. The role requires strong GIS mapping proficiency and a solid understanding of electrical power systems.

Responsibilities include managing GIS data in Esri Utility Network, serving as a SME and liaison between EPS and T&D teams, and leading documentation and training efforts to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4 years of progressively responsible analytical/functional analyst, user support or database maintenance work.
• Experience with GIS data and Esri Utility Network is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and manage Tacoma Power’s T&D GIS data residing in the Esri Utility Network environment.
• Act as SME and liaison between EPS and the T&D Product Owner, T&D Supervisors and the UTS team on GIS items including testing, troubleshooting, drafting standards, enhancements, and best work processes.
• Develop, update, and maintain staff procedure and workflow documentation.
