BGE, Inc, a nationwide civil engineering consulting firm, seeks a GIS Analyst in Georgia to prepare maps, maintain GIS data layers, and produce reports using ArcGIS and CAD tools. You will perform field validation, troubleshoot GIS issues, and train staff on GIS software.

Qualifications

5+ years of work related experience.
Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS suite of software.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office software.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and potential clients.

Responsibilities

Prepares and produces maps and other graphic representations displaying layers and attribute data from database, using cartographic techniques to represent spatial data.
Maintains data layers, using GIS tools, GPS units, CAD tools and relational databases.
Incorporates maps, charts, spreadsheet data and text into reports.
Performs field work to collect and/or validate GIS data using a GPS unit.
Resolves and troubleshoots GIS-related problems.
Provides basic GIS software training for internal users.
Develops production schedules for smaller mapping and analysis projects.
Communicates with internal and external customers to align project deliverables with business objectives.
