This GIS Specialist role focuses on mapping, data management, and field data collection, using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, GPS, and relational databases.

Formación

• 5+ years of GIS experience
• Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS suite of software
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and potential clients

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and produce maps and graphics showing spatial data from databases
• Maintain data layers using GIS tools, GPS units, CAD tools, and relational databases
• Incorporate maps, charts, spreadsheets, and text into reports
• Perform field work to collect and validate GIS data with a GPS unit
• Resolve and troubleshoot GIS-related problems
• Provide basic GIS software training for internal users
• Develop production schedules for smaller mapping projects
• Communicate with internal and external customers to align deliverables with business objectives

Job Description

• Prepares and produces maps and other graphic representations displaying layers and attribute data from database, using cartographic techniques to represent spatial data
• Maintains data layers, using GIS tools, GPS units, CAD tools and relational databases
• Incorporates maps, charts, spreadsheet data and text into reports
• Performs field work to collect and/or validate GIS data using a GPS unit
• Resolves and troubleshoots GIS-related problems
• Provides basic GIS software training for internal users
• Develops production schedules for smaller mapping and analysis projects
• Communicates with internal and external customers to align project deliverables with business objectives

Job Qualifications And Requirements
