Job summary

Esri is seeking a GIS subject matter expert to advise customers on complex business challenges using ArcGIS technology and to join an account team delivering high-value GIS solutions. You will present, demonstrate, and support software deployments across large enterprise accounts.

You’ll apply deep spatial analysis, data integration, and scalable architectures while mentoring teammates and helping to drive revenue in electric, gas, and telecommunications sectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
• 3+ years of experience in electric, gas and/or telecommunications.
• Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing).
• Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
• Understanding of sales and business development processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture.
• Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
• Experience integrating software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.
• Programming and scripting experience with Python and JavaScript.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and support selling Esri software and solutions with the account team.
• Be an expert and technical leader of Esri technology, including electric, gas, and/or telecommunications, and coach team members.
• Proactively craft and propose GIS-based solutions that address large customer business needs.
• Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences and present at conferences and executive engagements.
