Job summary

Esri is seeking a lead GIS Solution Engineer to act as a technical leader and trusted advisor for Defense and Intelligence customers. You will connect ArcGIS capabilities to GEOINT, ISR, and enterprise decision-making, spanning hands-on discussions, architecture decisions, and executive engagements.

You will inspire customers with mission-focused demonstrations, shape strategy, and mentor colleagues while traveling up to 25-50% as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years with Esri technology including maps, spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
• 5+ years in Defense, the Intelligence Community, GEOINT, National Security, or related mission environments
• Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS in IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud)
• Advanced experience in technical consulting and solution design with sales processes
• Demonstrated experience in actively participating in a sales process
• Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri deployments and system architecture
• Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
• Cloud computing concepts and environments (Azure or AWS)
• Experience integrating software with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, analytics
• Moderate to advanced programming in Python and JavaScript
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills for executive audiences
• Ability to travel 25-50% domestically or internationally
• Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, CS, engineering, information systems, or related field
• US Citizenship, background check, and security clearance eligibility (Secret / TS / TS-SCI)

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with technical enterprise decision makers and lead technical meetings to drive revenue
• Be a technical leader and SME for Defense and Intelligence; mentor team members
• Craft solutions showing GIS value and align Esri tech with customer business needs
• Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences; provide configuration guidance and best practices
