Job summary

Esri in Denver is seeking a GIS Solution Engineer for the Defense team who will act as a trusted advisor to National Government customers. You will become an expert on ArcGIS, present technical demonstrations, and craft solutions that align GIS with client business goals.

Expect significant collaboration across Esri and travel up to 50%. The role requires a proactive problem-solver with cloud, security, and IT context knowledge, plus a US citizenship background check and clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated presentation and communication skills to convey complex GIS concepts.
• Strong interpersonal and listening abilities for collaboration with government teams.
• Understanding of ArcGIS in an IT context including hardware, storage, security, networking, and cloud.
• Knowledge of geodatabases and underlying DBMS technologies.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts (Azure or AWS).
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
• US citizenship and security clearance eligibility for Secret/TS/TS-SCI.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and support selling Esri software as part of the account team.
• Be an expert on Defense and ArcGIS, presenting solutions to customers.
• Proactively craft solutions that align Esri technology with customer business needs.
• Design and deliver technical demonstrations and presentations for various audiences.
