The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority seeks a GIS Manager to lead the Planning & Research Division, overseeing enterprise GIS, data management, and analytical solutions to support CPRA’s mission. The role directs GIS staff, manages geodatabases, and delivers timely maps and spatial analyses for agency decisions.

Office location in Baton Rouge; compensation highlights include a maximum annual salary of $117,998.

Formación

Seven years of GIS experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree with twelve semester hours in computer science, GIS, or geospatial field plus five years of GIS experience.
Experience leading GIS teams and managing enterprise GIS environments.

Responsabilidades

Directs and oversees GIS section personnel and CPRA’s enterprise GIS environment by establishing priorities, assigning work, managing workloads, and ensuring timely delivery of geospatial products and analyses.
Manages the CPRA Projects Geodatabase with quality control and standardized workflows.
Coordinates GIS activities supporting CPRA land rights, infrastructure planning, and project mapping.
Reviews GIS deliverables for accuracy and CPRA standards; develops maps for annual plans and public communications.
Maintains oyster lease data from LDWF and ensures accurate geospatial information for land rights and operations.
Provides GIS training and mentoring to CPRA staff on ArcGIS Pro, data management, and cartographic techniques.
