Job summary

AVANGRID seeks a Senior Technical Analyst/Programmer for Enterprise Applications to lead development and support of GIS systems within ArcGIS/ArcFM environments across Avangrid’s electric and gas operations.

You will partner with business stakeholders and IT to design scalable solutions, drive automation, and ensure reliable daily operation of critical GIS platforms, with emphasis on modern architectures, data management, and AI-enabled enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering/GIS/CS with 5+ years of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven team player with cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with GIS and enterprise IT concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, enhance, and support enterprise GIS apps and workflows across ArcGIS/ArcFM and related systems (SAP, OMS/ADMS)
• Lead technical phases of major GIS projects including design, plans, and delivery
• Provide app lifecycle management, data governance, and operational support for GIS platforms
• Support cloud and on-premises environments, ensure security and reliability
• Evaluate new technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve operations
