Job summary
Avangrid is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst/Programmer for Enterprise Applications to develop, support, and continuously improve GIS applications and system integrations in ArcGIS/ArcFM environments. You will work with business stakeholders, IT, and vendors to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions.
The role emphasizes lead technical acumen, cloud/on‑prem operations, data management, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled tooling to enhance operational efficiency and business value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering/GIS/CS with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong problem solving, multitasking, and teamwork.
- GIS and utility industry knowledge.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS stack.
- Development & integration using Python; API and SQL skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, integration, and support of enterprise GIS applications and automations.
- Guide solution design with business units, vendors, and IT teams.
- Ensure reliable operation of GIS platforms with cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Provide after‑hours support for IT maintenance and GIS on‑call needs.
- Manage and modernize GIS and SAP integrations.
