Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst/Programmer for Enterprise Applications to develop, support, and enhance GIS systems (ArcGIS/ArcFM) across electric and gas operations. You will partner with business units, IT, and vendors to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions and ensure reliable operation.

The role leads technical phases, manages ETL, data integrity, and cloud/on‑prem infrastructure, and applies AI-enabled approaches to improve efficiency and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, GIS, Engineering, or CS with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities; multitasking.
• Team player with ability to work with stakeholders, IT, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS requirements gathering, solution design, and cross‑functional consensus.
• Develop, configure, and support enterprise GIS apps and integrations (ArcGIS, ArcFM, SAP).
• Support ETL processes and data workflows on Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Provide platform administration, security, and reliability for GIS systems.
• Evaluate new technologies, AI tools, and modernization opportunities.
• Lead technical phases of projects, manage plans, schedules, and vendors.
• Maintain technical standards, documentation, and release processes.
