Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a lead GIS professional to design, develop, and administer enterprise GIS databases, web-based and mobile apps, and geospatial services for a government client.

The role guides a team of GIS and IT professionals, translating client needs into robust technical solutions, while collaborating with partners, supervisors, architects, and developers on complex GIS challenges.

Qualifications

• Expert with ESRI GIS tools and open-source GIS applications.
• Strong map design, geographic data, coordinates, and spatial analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of hardware, software, networks, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing and supporting Web APIs.
• Strong relational database experience: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server.
• Ability to communicate with clients and translate needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a GIS/IT team in enterprise GIS development efforts.
• Develop and administer GIS databases, web/mobile apps, and web services.
• Provide high-level problem-solving support to MDH partners.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to deliver technical solutions.
