Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Geographic Information System Analyst to lead and participate in the development and maintenance of the GIS infrastructure, including web, desktop, and mobile applications. Responsibilities include advanced data analysis, scripting, and coordinating with IT and departmental stakeholders to deliver high-quality GIS solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS, Python, HTML5, SQL, FME, and MSSQL Server, with a focus on data integration,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Planning or Engineering field.
Experience in GIS project management, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level analytical support for GIS and technology projects using project management methodologies.
Lead GIS project development, planning, tracking, and scheduling to maintain productivity and quality.
Coordinate resources and vendors for project execution and define scope/objectives with stakeholders.
Develop and maintain web, desktop, and mobile GIS applications and data systems.
Develop, test, and analyze data to support management objectives and improve GIS.
Guide and train GIS analysts and technicians in databases, software, and GIS tools.
Develop and maintain web map applications enabling location-based searches for internal/external users.
