Job summary

The City of Pasadena's Department of Information Technology is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to design, implement, and maintain the city's GIS capabilities. You will work under supervision to lead GIS projects, train staff, and ensure data governance across enterprise systems.

Ideal candidates will master ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and SQL databases, and will automate tasks with Python and Power Automate. This on-site role requires collaboration with City staff and ongoing system optimization.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in GIS/Geography or related field.
At least four years of professional GIS experience in the uses and operations of GIS.
Public agency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of complex GIS solutions.
Provide GIS support to City staff and develop training materials.
Monitor GIS system performance and perform patching.
Develop and customize GIS tools and automate tasks.
Deploy and maintain Enterprise GIS infrastructure and applications.
Prepare reports, maps, and spatial analyses for decision making.
Enforce data governance policies for GIS data integrity.
Respond to end-user inquiries regarding GIS requirements and data.
Stay current with GIS technology trends.
Prepare documentation and user procedures.
